We charge £32.00 per metre for custom cotton, plus £4.50 postage per order. There are no other costs. Once we have received your file, we offer you a sample preview online. With a repeat pattern this gives you a chance to determine how you wish to scale the repeat. At this point you can still decide whether to order just a swatch (for £8.00) or a length of fabric (sheeting, sateen, panama or canvas-weight). If you know you are fussy about colour, you are advised to do this as we do not guarantee colour matching. If you are sure of your wastage, you can be quite fussy about the length. Your price will be based on the length you have ordered, plus 15cm to accommodate shrinkage & printer wastage. If you know the size of your panels for a particular product, we can help you fit them on the printer to minimise wastage. We only print on 100% cotton and it is fully machine washable. We are still using the first apron we made from print run No 1 four years back. Sure, if an item is washed repeatedly the colour will fade after a while. We have noticed that the rate at which this occurs will differ depending on the nature of the pattern with darker colours showing the wear sooner. As you consider an order, I should like to point out our terms and conditions in advance. We are a small workshop and we cannot afford (either financially or emotionally) to absorb the cost of reprints or disputes with customers. So please be clear that there are certain risks in placing an order that will be unavoidable. If colour matching is a priority we recommend using our sampling service ahead of prototyping in order to test your colour palette safely and more economically. If you let us know the project you are considering, we might be able to advise you more accurately. - Rosablue |
